HELLO, I'M RAHILA.
NEUROPSYCHOLOGIST // FORTUNE-LEVEL HR ADVISOR // EXECUTIVE VISIBILITY STRATEGIST
For 20+ years, I’ve been inside the rooms where reputations are shaped, stretch roles are assigned, and futures are decided. I’ve worked with CEOs, founders, partners, and senior leaders across 100+ organizations — helping them grow influence, sharpen presence, and build visibility that earns trust.
Not the loud kind.
Not the self-promotional kind.
The kind that travels ahead of you.
FEATURED IN LEADERSHIP, MEDIA, AND INDUSTRY PLATFORMS:
ZEROBIE
(That’s one level lower than a newbie)
The phase where I did everything right — except visibility.
I started my career the way many high-performing leaders do: from the ground up, focused, committed, and quietly delivering results that moved organizations forward.
I built teams.
Solved the hard problems.
Became the advisor leaders called when people issues were tangled, and stakes were high.
And yet — a pattern kept repeating:
Great work isn’t automatically visible. Invisible work is never remembered.
Not by senior decision-makers.
Not by succession committees.
Not even by the people who admired my contribution behind closed doors.
It wasn’t a “me” problem — it was a structural blind spot.
And like many executives, I tried to outwork it.
More hours. More overcommitment. More burnout.
I WORKED HARD
When success started costing.
My background is in neuroscience and leadership psychology. I’ve spent years studying how the brain pays attention, how trust forms, and how reputations take shape.
But here’s the twist:
I wasn’t applying any of that science to my own visibility.
Instead, my wakeup call came in a doctor’s office.
“You’ll lose your eyesight”
The doctor said what I couldn't: ENOUGH!
I had built a career on brilliance — but also on burnout.
My work lived in private rooms.
My influence stopped at the walls of the organizations I served.
That day drew a line in the sand.
Visibility was a leadership skill I had been postponing.
VISIBILITY SHIFT
The turning point where my work finally became visible.
Working harder wasn’t the answer.
Burning out wasn’t sustainable.
So I tried something different — something strategic.
I clarified the one result I wanted to be known for, and built a visibility plan that put that signal in front of every key decision-maker.
The plan was simple: Publish a quarterly magazine, HR Toolkit, and get my opinions, models, and work in front of 2,000 decision makers.
One issue landed on the desk of the Editor-in-Chief of DAWN, the largest English-language newspaper, and that birthed Dear Workplace Sanity — a weekly career column read by over a million people over the course of a decade.
Now, suddenly, my reputation began traveling ahead of me. My thinking spread across industries. Leaders reached out before I ever did.
I charged more. Worked less. And finally, started having fun. That’s when I realized:
I had cracked the visibility code.
ICON
A science-backed visibility system for leaders.
The ICON Method™ grew from science and lived experience — mine and the executives I’ve guided across 100+ organizations.
It builds visibility through four strategic levers:
Influence — clarify the signal you want to be known for
Connection — shape the story that lets people feel your impact
Outreach — show up in the right places, with the right rhythm
Network — build allies who carry your name into pivotal rooms
ICON isn’t about being everywhere.
It’s about being visible where it matters most to your career, your leadership, and the opportunities you want next.
READY TO be SEEN?
A Decade of Letters Turned Into a Movement
For ten years, thousands of professionals wrote to me through my column Dear Workplace Sanity, and millions read my advice. Their stories became the backbone of my book Workplace Sanity — and the spark for a mission to help leaders be seen, valued, and understood.
