HELLO, I'M RAHILA
NEUROPSYCHOLOGIST // VISIBILITYÂ STRATEGIST // TYPE A // TAURUS // CHAI LOVERÂ
FEATURED IN LEADERSHIP, MEDIA, AND INDUSTRY PLATFORMS:
ZEROBIE.
(That’s one level lower than a newbie)
A new country. No map. Just grit.
Â
Everyone said no one would hire me. So I hired myself. I got a gig profiling 2,000+ sales reps for a global FMCG giant.Â
Six months later, I’d bought my first car in cash and helped my family breathe again.
Then came the decision.
The consultancy I freelanced for was relocating. They offered me their business for more money than I’d ever seen. I had a choice: buy-out or quit.
LEAP.
$100 and a refusal to play small.
With only $100 I launched Narejo Human Resources. I used my own name so clients would recognize me. I didn’t know it then, but I was building something powerful —
AÂ PERSONAL BRANDÂ before the term existed.Â
I WORKED HARD.
When success becomes unsustainable.
I said yes to every project, agreed to impossible timelines, and charged less than I was worth.
My calendar was full. My body was breaking. A pinched nerve. Chronic pain. A ruptured blood vessel in my eye.Â
I was paying a heavy price for success.
“You’ll lose your vision.”Â
Â
The Doctor said what my mouth wouldn’t:Â
ENOUGH.Â
Â
That day drew my line in the sand. I’d built a career on brilliance, but also on burnout. And I knew I wasn’t alone. Every week, I met women like me — brilliant, overqualified, doing invisible work.
VISIBILITY SHIFT
When strategy replaced survival.
Working harder wasn’t the answer. Quitting wasn’t either. So I did something different.
I created a quarterly magazine, HR Toolkit, and mailed it to 500+ decision-makers. One copy landed on the desk of the Editor-in-Chief of the largest English-language newspaper. That birthed Workplace Sanity — a weekly career column read by over a million people.
Soon, my name was a brand. I charged more. Worked less. Spoke on industry stages. And I realized —
I hadn’t just raised my profile, I had cracked the code.
ICON™
IS BORN
Â
When brilliance meets neuroscience.
What started as survival became a revolution. Every article, every stage, every boardroom confirmed what I’d seen all along: Brilliance isn’t enough.
The workplace rewards what’s remembered, not just what’s delivered.
So I started studying cognition — how the brain decides whose work to notice, whose voice to trust, whose ideas to amplify.
That discovery became The ICON Method™ — a neuroscience-backed system that helps women become seen, known, and chosen.
